‘ASXP’ Current Switches
from NK Technologies take our current operated switch
selection to the next level. The ASXP Series has two
models with different current input ranges. Utilizing a
separate power source, either 120 or 24 VAC or DC, this
product provides an SPST relay output rated at 10 amps. There
is a factory set delay upon initial current inrush, allowing a
simple connection to common controls without sensor actuation.
The trip point can then be adjusted between 1 and 20 amps
(ASXP1) or between 20 and 50 amps (ASXP2). Both models have
adjustable delay before the relay energizes, up to 15 seconds,
to allow for brief periods of over current conditions.
- Conveyors
Use as electronic shear pins
- Overhead Hoists
Alarms when hoist is overloaded
- Machine Operation
Instant status of motors, lamps and other loads.
- Undercurrent Conditions

- Compact, One-piece Design
—Fits in crowded motor starters, power supplies and
control panels.
- Input Isolation
—Much simpler than CTs, signal conditioners and timing
relays
- Ranges Accommodate Most Common Motors
—Single range can simplify installation
- Tough
—Designed to handle harsh industrial environments.
- Motor Current Inrush Bypass Standard
— Two seconds before switch output changes after initial
startup

—Solid, secure mounting that inspectors want to see.

‘AM’ Current Switches
from NK Technologies take our current operated switch
selection to a refined level. The AM Series
is available three
models with different current input ranges. Utilizing
the monitored current as a power
source, this
product provides an AC solid state output
rated to one amp, up to 240 VAC; or a solid state output
that can control up to 150 mA, up to 30 VDC.
This sensor series can be
produced so that the output changes only on current increase
over the setpoint, or only on current decrease, or both over and
under current conditions.
With the overload only
models, there
is an adjustable
delay upon initial current inrush, allowing a
simple connection to common controls without sensor actuation.
The sensor output will change when the
monitored circuit rises above a "floor" value of approximately
one amp. The trip point can then be adjusted between 1 and
6 or 6 to 12 amps
(AM1), between 12
and 25 or 25 and 50 amps (AM2) or between
50 and 100 amps
or 100 and 200 amps (AM3).
All models have two
adjustable delays before the
output changes, up to 10 seconds.
The first delays output during initial current inrush, and the
second delays to allow for brief periods of over current conditions.
With the underload only
models, there
is an adjustable
delay upon initial current inrush, allowing a
simple connection to common controls without sensor actuation.
The sensor output will change when the
monitored circuit rises above a "floor" value of
approximately one amp. The trip point can then be adjusted between 1 and
6 or 6 to 12 amps
(AM1), between 12
and 25 or 25 and 50 amps (AM2) or between
50 and 100 amps
or 100 and 200 amps (AM3).
All models have
two adjustable delays
before the output
changes, up to 10 seconds.
The first delays output during initial current inrush, and
the second delays to allow for brief periods of over current conditions.
With the over/under
models, there is one delay adjustable for over current, and
the second for under current conditions.
The sensor output will change when the
monitored circuit current rises above the "low" setpoint,
and will stay in that condition until the current exceeds
the "high" setpoint. The trip points can then be adjusted between 1 and
6 or 6 to 12 amps
(AM1), between 12
and 25 or 25 and 50 amps (AM2) or between
50 and 100 amps
or 100 and 200 amps (AM3).

‘AS0’ Current Switches from NK Technologies
can be set to trip at any current level
between 3 mA and 350 mA. NK has also made this sensor
with trip points up to 1000 mA, so if you need a very fast
operating, UL Listed current operated switch, let us know.
This sensor can also be used in Canada as a ground fault
sensor, due to the third party recognition issues with our
AG series. NK makes models with normally open outputs
(closing with current over the set point), and also with
normally closed outputs (opening with current over the set
point. The solid state output can be ordered to control up
to one amp of AC current, up to 240 VAC, or with DC outputs
capable of switching up to 0.15 amp up to 30 VDC.
