UL 508

Designed & Assembled in the USA

UL 508 is a safety standard specifically for industrial control switches. It provides guidelines and requirements for the design, construction, and testing of control panels to ensure they are safe for use in industrial environments. Control panels covered by UL 508 include those used to operate machinery, manage industrial processes, and control systems, among other applications. We have 2 file numbers that are both held to the UL 508 Standard: NRNT.E129625 and NMTR.E342812.

NRNT covers switches for industrial control including magnetically operated switches, manually operated switches, photoelectric switches, and solid-state switches.

NMTR covers use power supplies to monitor and/or provide supplementary overcurrent protection; reactors, including line chokes; current transformers and current transducers; voltage transformers and voltage transducers; and resistors, including motor-starting, rheostats, potentiometers, and high-impedance grounding types.
